Getting Started: New Event & Meeting Requests
Whether you are interested in attending a workshop, enjoying a cultural activity, joining one of our clubs and organizations, or volunteering for a charitable cause, Ƶ has all the bases covered. At CU, we pride ourselves on academic excellence, character development, and social responsibility — that includes the opportunity to become involved in a wide range of activities and social events.
NEW RESERVATIONS REQUESTS:
- All requests must be submitted via thevia Coursedog!
- All newevents and meetingrequests must be submittedat least two weeks priorto the event date. Cancellation of an event or meeting must be submitted at least 24 hours priorto the scheduled event or meeting.
- All catering requests must be submittedat least 15 business days or 3 weeks in advanceof the event date.
- The requestor must receive an“Aʱʸ鰿շ”notice from the Cheyney Schedulerbeforethey can proceed with their event.
- Requestors must contact the Office of Marketing and Communications if they would like photography/videography services.
- Requestors must provide Campus Police/Public Safety with the names of all off-campus guests invited to their events.
- If purchasing goods and services, the requestor must begin working with the business office to submit required documentationat least 15 business days or 3 weeks in advanceto ensure their order can be procured in a timely manner.
EXISTING RESERVATIONS:
To follow up on or request revisions to an approved event, requestors should consult the email confirmation sent from the(ڰdz no-reply@coursedog.com). Remember:Cancellation of an event must be submitted via emailat least 24 hours priorto the scheduled event.
EVENT/MEETING GUIDELINES:
- The advisor/requestor of the event must be in attendance for theentireprogram or event.
- Space is secured on a “first request, first secured” basis.
- Requestors must provide campus police/public safety with the names of all off-campus guests invited to their events.
- The use of candles and open flames is strictly prohibited in all university facilities.
- The requesting organization is responsible for returning the room/space back to the condition the room was received in and is responsible for removing all food and trash in the reserved space immediately following their event.
- The removal of furniture from any space designed for meetings/programs is strictly prohibited.
- Nothing may be taped, stapled, or otherwise affixed to walls, floors, windows or doors.
- Student clubs and organizations events will not be scheduled during university blackouts. Academic departments and organizations may schedule academic events during this time.
CATERING:
Thompson Hospitalityis the sole food and beverage contractor of Ƶ. Therefore, outside catering is prohibited for public, or student organizational events held on the university’s maincampus. All orders can be placed on Ƶ’s.All requests must be placed atleast 15 business days or 3 weeksin advance of the event.
