Diploma Distribution
Once all final grades are posted and the degree audit is complete, the diploma ordering process takes 4-6 weeks.
What You Receive at Commencement
Please note that during the Commencement Ceremony, graduates will receive a diploma cover only. Your official diploma is issued after all final grades have been submitted, posted by the Registrar’s Office, and your final degree audit confirms that all graduation requirements have been successfully completed.
Once your degree is officially conferred, you will also receive one complimentary official transcript and one unofficial transcript. If you need additional copies, they can be requested and purchased online through the Registrar’s Office.
Receiving Your Diploma
Diplomas will be ordered approximately 4 to 6 weeks after all final grades have been submitted by faculty, posted by the Registrar’s Office, and a final degree audit has been completed to confirm all graduation requirements have been met.
A digital copy of your diploma will be sent to the email address you provided on the ‘Name & Mailing Address Request Form’ when you picked up your regalia package. If no email was provided, your Cheyney Wolfmail account will be used instead. This email will also include your tracking number and an estimated delivery date for your physical diploma.
Please be sure to check your inbox, as well as your junk/spam folders, for this email from JOSTENS.
The full process to receive both the digital and physical diploma typically takes 4 to 6 weeks after final grades are posted, and the degree audit is complete.
Updating Your Mailing Address & Diploma Name
IMPORTANT: Review Your Name in Self-Service: The way your name appears in Self-Service is exactly how it will be printed on your diploma— including spelling, capitalization, special characters, full middle names vs. initials, and suffixes (e.g., Jr., III). Please double-check it carefully.
Diploma Name & Mailing Address Request Form
When picking up your regalia order, you’ll be asked to complete the Diploma Name & Mailing Address Request Form, which will allow you to:
- Specify exactly how your name should appear on your diploma
- Provide the mailing address where your diploma should be sent
- Include a reliable phone number and email address in case there are any issues with your diploma order
⚠️ If this form is not completed, the information listed in your Self-Service profile will be used by default. Make sure all information is accurate to avoid delays in receiving your diploma!
